Privacy & counselling

University Pharmacy collects only what we need to fill prescriptions, deliver OTC orders, and contact you — name, phone, email, address, and the health details you give us (allergies, Rx numbers, family members).

We handle personal health information under Ontario’s Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and PIPEDA. Staff at the pharmacy you choose can see your request so they can care for you. We don’t sell your information.

A pharmacist must review every prescription and, when needed, counsel you before you take it. Approving a refill in this app is a request, not a guaranteed fill. If something isn’t appropriate, we will call you and you won’t be billed.

Card details are stored encrypted so the pharmacy can type them into the store terminal after they approve. A transfer may ask for a security code (CVV2) for that one terminal entry. We do not save the security code on a stored card, and we never ask you to put your full card in a message.

You can ask us to correct or delete account details that aren’t required to keep a legal pharmacy record. Email info@universitypharmacy.ca.
